Elwin Klein and Sally Taylor met while attending community college in Walla Walla and were married Aug. 18, 1968, in College Place, Wash. She graduated from Whitman College in Walla Walla and he graduated in pre-med from Walla Walla College in College Place.

He is a naturopathic physician who practiced in Vancouver, Wash., for a few years while she worked in a medical lab in Portland.

Her father served as Garfield County treasurer in Pomeroy, so to be closer to her family, they later moved to Lewiston where Dr. Klein has practiced Acupuncture and Oriental sports medicine for more than 40 years. He is now semi-retired, and is a past president of the Idaho Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

She worked as office manager in his practice for more than 30 years and is now retired. For years, they traveled together to seminars all over the world as part of his practice.

An artist, she enjoys sewing and quilting, and is a member of a group of friends who travel together attending quilt workshops and camps.

They especially enjoy living in the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley and appreciate the many people they have met and fellowshipped with over the years. They also enjoy dining at the top-notch restaurants available here.

The couple have two sons, two daughters and seven grandchildren who traveled to help them celebrate their anniversary.
